I think it is great that you and Marilyn Manson could get together. You are my favorite artist and Marilyn Manson is my favorite musician. I think you are both fucking genious and when you put your ideas together you can create something so great and amazing. And you shouldnt stop at the Golden Age of Grotesque but both of you should keep on working together.

I have never spent so much time going through your works.
It's hard to believe I Have seen many of them, and touch them, and carry them and watch them waiting, revealing thoughts.
days pass and I keep going back for another trip into your conscience.
at times I also see my self reflected. I keep learning from those tragedies.
the amount of works is impresive. There is Disipline, a dark disipline.
I remember.
A high admiration for all your achievements.

Sehr geniale Seite, sehr geniale Bilder! Schön das in Deutschland die abstruse, entartete Kunst nicht ausstirbt und immer wieder neue schwarze Blüten aufblühen. Neben Luetke wohl einer der wenigen Künstler die mich in Deutschland ansprechen.

How is this possible?
You can visualise what i feel inside, as MarManson can sing the words and touch my weak spot. I felt misunderstood, an alien on a strange planet and suddenly in a few weeks time after so many years of tears, i found that i'm not alone. i've never even heard from you, but now i want to know more about your work, i will surch for books about you. And i hope you will have an exebition in Belgium someday (soon).

As a young artist, I find your work scary. Scary in the way that its superb. Scary of what just one painter can create. Scary in the sense that you reveal all the dark underlying human hate. Simply scary. I love it.

Your work is simply stunning... the concept of working with mixed media fascinated me. I'be been involved in arts earlier, in my youth, and though my main area is music nowadays (since a few years ago), you inspired me in a way to experiment again with arts... there's nothing like leaving a mark on a human being, may it be through artistic terrorism, or by the means of beauty (or both in the same time), and very few times I have accomplished this... it must be a great feeling to do it often, to be part of a revolution... a true revolution, the one that involves dwelling into human nature, and picking on weak spots, calling forth the fire of the self, to become a child again, to be alive... all my support to you, as well as any true artist, for though unaccomplished and very little experienced, I feel that people like you are my brothers in arms. The world is lacking true enthusiasm, the one that sincere art can bring back, and I can't stress this enough
In a way I see myself reflected in some of the things I believe mr. Manson is hinting to be working on. Though the target isn't exactly the same, there are common traits... in a bad day this could feel like a reason for me to give up working on it, and avoid being paralleled and labelled ordinary, but it's not really the topic that matters most, like the flesh of which your child is made, the hair... it's how you nurture it that will define what it is, what it will grow up to be, in a more profound level. Hope I pulled off the right conclusions
Once again, congratulations, I hope to see much more

holaa.soy una chica española y solo decirle que lo unico que me pesa es haber conocido su obra tan tarde, pero me he quedado fascinada, tanto por su tecnica como por los temas que trata y por su monumentalidad. Yo estudio bellas artes en españa y su obra me ha influido bastante, me ha aportado ilusion y ganas de seguir en este dificil mundo del arte. My comments wolud have to be of an uncontrollable anger and that some one tryed to destory my Michael Jackson CD. Invincible and i am about to go and lash out at any one! But besides that i absoultly LOVE Marylin Manson! And his music even though my family is cathlic and they often don't let me lissen to your/his music. But i don't care about that if i could i would go a head and go GOTH. But if my mother fould out that i desided to where black evry day, and or most of the week she would FLIP! Now not that kind of filp but the kind when you see something so shocking that you can't handle it all at once. Or at the same time becouse your to bisses doing other things.As well i don' care about WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY ABOUT MY FAVORITE STARS! Weter it's in the news and or paper. I LIKE THEM FOR THEM? AND WHO THEY ARE AND! THERE PERSONALLITYAS WELL! "I WOULD REALLY LIKE THEM TOO KNOW THAT" I DO CARE EVEN IF OTHER PEOPLE DON'T! Like the media and the popirotzzi. I an not an very good speller sir. So just go with it ok. Even for a freshmen i am pritty smart.

Just thot I'd say how amazing your art & photography is. It's very inspiring. After I checked out Avary's film "The Rules of Attraction" I was really interested in the food service girl's suicide scene. It broke my heart. I Did some searching on the net and found your photo's of the scene. unbelievable. emotional. touching.

you'll never read this of course, but I'd like to think you're actually reading your guestbook when you're not working or travelling. So I just wanted you to know that I really adore your way of art and life, you actually create, and move people (through horror and beauty). your art intrigues me like no other artist I've ever known. "keep up the good work" sounds really lame, but the sentiment is similar to what I wanted to say, and I really think that you surpassed that dimension of communication: writing/ talking. so, thank you Gottfried Helnwein, for making my vision a bit more broad. thanks. I am very impressed with your line of artwork. From the time era that they were made, comes across as something you wouldn't find everyday here, and thats what I love about it. The art work is the most beautiful art I have every seen. I just keep coming back and looking at every single art work. I can not keep my eyes off of it. I too am in art but I hope someday I will be as good as an artist as you. Thank you for showing me great art work on this web site.
